Proof of Efficacy Study to Evaluate an Ayurvedic Formulation in the Treatment of Allergic Rhinitis: An Open Label Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial
A study on 250 patients compared the Ayurvedic formulation IMMBO to a levocetirizine-montelukast combination for allergic rhinitis. IMMBO showed significantly greater improvements in symptoms (TNSS: -5.70 vs. -3.31) and IgE reduction (-351.54 vs. -208.79), demonstrating superior efficacy and safety.
Remission in a Relapse Case of Acute Promyelocytic Leukaemia for Twenty-two years using Metal Based Ayurvedic Treatment: A Case Report
Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (APML) is a blood cancer with symptoms like anemia, fatigue, and easy bleeding. While modern treatments improve outcomes, relapses and side effects persist. This case report discusses an APML patient who, after relapse, opted for Ayurvedic treatment with metal-based formulations, achieving remission within weeks. The patient has remained disease-free for 22 years.
CA19-9 lowering effect of Ayurvedic Mineral Complex in the patients of Chronic Pancreatitis
CA19-9, a marker for pancreatic cancer, is elevated in pancreatitis and some gastrointestinal cancers. An Ayurvedic Mineral Complex (AMC) has shown promise in lowering CA19-9 levels in pancreatitis patients. This finding could lead to further research on AMC as a preventive therapy for pancreatic cancer in such patients. This study reports on 43 pancreatitis patients treated with AMC.
Scientific validated approach for application of Mandura bhasma A review
Mandura (iron rust) is purified and calcined in Ayurveda to create Mandura Bhasma, used for conditions like spleen and liver enlargement, jaundice, oedema, and anemia. Our study found that Prak-20 aligns with the classical dose schedule for Mandura Bhasma.
Observational research on the effect of an Ayurvedic treatment protocol in patients of hereditary pancreatitis
Hereditary pancreatitis (HP) is a chronic genetic disorder with limited treatment options. This study evaluated the efficacy of a year-long Ayurvedic Treatment Protocol (ATP) in 151 patients, 88 of whom completed the program. The treatment included Ayurvedic formulations, dietary adjustments, and discontinuation of pancreatic enzymes. Results showed a 92.8% reduction in attack frequency and a 98.7% decrease in hospitalizations (p < 0.0001), with no adverse effects. ATP demonstrated safety and effectiveness in managing HP, suggesting the need for further research.
