The Sudden Onset: A Misdiagnosed Beginning for Amit

In 2013, Amit experienced his first attack. Initially dismissed by doctors and sent home within a day, he suffered a second, more severe attack the very next morning. Medical professionals at a top hospital suggested the gallbladder was the culprit and performed a cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal) within three days, despite finding no stones.

For one year, Amit remained asymptomatic, but the cycle returned. With the gallbladder already removed, doctors were baffled. After extensive testing revealed no alcoholic history or clear cause, the condition was labeled “Idiopathic Pancreatitis”. Amit was told he would have to manage the disease with lifelong medication and extreme fat restriction.

The Systemic Breakdown: “Like 2-3 Heart Attacks at Once”

The pain intensity was described by Amit as a 9.5 out of 10, comparable to “two or three heart attacks occurring simultaneously”. Over the next several years, the attacks became frequent, occurring every three months and requiring prolonged hospitalizations.

Desperate, Amit undertook a massive lifestyle change, losing 23 kg in six months (dropping from 94 kg to 69 kg) through sheer willpower. However, even at his fittest weight, the attacks continued. Conventional specialists offered no permanent solution, telling him: “Whenever you feel pain, just come to the hospital for IV fluids. We don’t know the cause, so we can’t treat it”.

The Padaav Pivot: Recommendation from a Peer

In 2016, Amit’s search led him to Dr. Mukesh Kalla, a respected gastroenterologist in Jaipur. In a rare instance of cross-disciplinary guidance, the Allopathic doctor suggested: “Why don’t you go to Padaav and learn their methodology?”.

Exhausted by “Google Maharaj” and its grim prognoses, Amit and his wife sought Vaidya Balendu Prakash. They were introduced to the 21-day inpatient program, which shifted the focus from merely “taking medicine” to “creating a biological habit”.

The Recovery: Challenging Conventional Wisdom

Amit’s recovery at Padaav involved a radical reintroduction of nutrients that conventional medicine had forbidden:

  • The Lipid Challenge: On the seventh day of treatment, Amit was asked to consume a full bowl of olive oil. Despite his fear of fat, he experienced zero pain, proving that the Rasashastra (Ayurvedic alchemy) was protecting and restoring his pancreatic function.

  • Nutritional Restoration: He moved from a salt-free “cleaning” diet to high-protein meals, including milk, soaked almonds, and even ghee, which were previously triggers for his pain.

  • The 21-Day Habit: The program taught him the “Methodology of Eating”—what, when, and how to eat—to align with the body’s natural circadian rhythms.

The Outcome: Nine Years of Absolute Health

Amit followed the full treatment for 1.5 years. The results were definitive: eight to nine years have passed without a single attack or even a bout of acidity.

The success was so profound that when his son, Arush, began showing similar generational symptoms, the family did not panic. Arush has now been on the treatment for over a year and is living a normal, disciplined life, even refusing chocolates with the understanding that his “healing phase” is temporary but essential.

Today, Amit eats everything—even outside food—without impact. He maintains that 99% discipline in daily life allows for 1% indulgence without consequence.

Experience at Padaav

Amit describes Padaav’s approach as unique because it addresses the Methodology of Living. While Allopathy manages symptoms through “failed stents and ICU patches,” Padaav rebuilds the organ’s resilience. For the Meena family, the 21-day stay was the foundation that turned a “life-threatening” diagnosis into a distant memory.
