Hamad’s Struggle: A Battle for Survival and Recognition

Hamad’s struggle reached a terrifying peak in 2018 while traveling back to Delhi from a cousin’s wedding. What began as a “mild pain” in the morning escalated into an excruciating agony that left him screaming in a train compartment. His mother, initially suspecting a normal stomach ache, was hesitant to get off at an unknown station, especially after losing her husband in 2015. However, as Hamad’s skin and eyes turned a deep yellow from jaundice and the pain became unbearable, fellow passengers urged them to seek immediate help.

The conventional medical response was chaotic. After being carried off the train by a kind stranger at a remote station, Hamad was given multiple painkiller injections at a small local facility, but they had no effect. Doctors there eventually “raised their hands,” admitting they had exhausted their options. A grueling five-hour ambulance ride followed, where every bump in the road felt like “life was leaving the body.” He was eventually diagnosed with a triple crisis: Acute Pancreatitis, Acute Hepatitis, and Jaundice. For years afterward, Hamad was trapped in a cycle of self-medication, “doctor-shopping” across four different medical streams, and even taking psychiatric drugs to cope with the mounting depression and severe weight loss.

The Padaav Pivot: A Search for a “Root” Cure

After spending nearly 10 to 12 lakh rupees and enduring years of “managing” the disease with enzymes and temporary fixes, Hamad’s condition worsened in 2024. Attacks began occurring every 10 days, and his pancreas showed signs of becoming atrophic. Being a “research-oriented” person, Hamad realized that modern medical science offered no permanent solution, only symptomatic management.

His search for a genuine cure led him to Padaav. Despite having doctors and surgeons within his own family who were skeptical of Ayurveda, Hamad realized that the “manageable” label Allopathy gave the disease was a myth for those actually suffering. He reached out to Padaav, believing that while the treatment required careful financial planning, the effectiveness of the protocol was his only real path to a life beyond chronic pain.

The Recovery: Overcoming Self-Medication and Restoring Health

The recovery at Padaav focused on moving away from the “cocktail of medicines” Hamad had been taking and establishing a scientifically backed Ayurvedic discipline.

Ending the Chemical Cycle: Hamad stopped the habit of taking various antibiotics and enzymes to mask symptoms and halted the self-prescribed psychiatric medications as his physical health stabilized.

Nutritional Discipline: He moved away from the “over-eating” habits of his youth and the heavy non-veg diet that triggered his early attacks, embracing the structured, timed meal plans.

Professional Supervision: Instead of guessing his own treatment via the internet, he placed his trust in the systematic approach of the Vaidyas, who focused on balancing the body’s internal state.

Mental Clarity: The shift from the “depressing environment” of constant hospitalizations to a proactive recovery center helped him regain the mental strength he had lost during years of suffering.

The Outcome: Reclaiming a Long and Healthy Life

Today, Hamad has found a path to stability that escaped him for six years. From a low of 40 kg during his most fragile moments, he has learned how to maintain his health without the constant fear of the next attack. He no longer has to carry a pocketful of digestive enzymes or wonder if he will survive the week. He has transitioned from a state of total despair to one of informed, disciplined health.

Hamad’s Message: “Pancreatitis is not just ‘manageable’—it is a devastating disease that requires a root-cause solution. Even if you have doctors in your family, you must realize that what works for the pancreas is often found where you least expect it. Padaav provides the life that medical textbooks say is impossible.”

Experience at Padaav

Hamad describes Padaav as the answer to a research-driven search for truth. He acknowledges the professionalism of the treatment and the fact that, unlike the cold, symptomatic approach of big hospitals, Padaav offers a roadmap to recovery that considers the patient’s entire life history. It is a place that turns a “hopeless guest” of the medical system back into a healthy individual.
