About Vaidya Chandra Prakash ji

A Pioneer in Rasa Shastra and Ayurveda, Late Vaidya Chandra Prakash was born into a humble farming family in Chhabariya village, Sardhana tehsil, Meerut district. At a young age, he left his parental home and came under the mentorship of a revered Sanyasi, Guru Maharaj ji, a master of Yoga and Rasa Shastra. This spiritual and scholarly influence laid the foundation of his lifelong dedication to Ayurveda.
After completing his Prabhakar degree from Prayag, he pursued the Bhishak degree—a three-year formal training in Ayurveda—from Sanatan Dharma College, Lahore (now in Pakistan). He began his clinical practice in Niloha village, Meerut, preparing and using his own Rasa Aushadhies under the guidance of Guru Maharaj ji.
In 1945, he married Smt. Shashi Mukhi, daughter of Late Lakshmi Narayan Agarwal of Gagari (Bihar). Soon after, he moved to Muzaffarpur, where he treated several renowned personalities including Late Jayaprakash Narayan and Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India.
Vaidya Chandra Prakash gained wide acclaim for treating chronic and refractory conditions using classical Rasa formulations. By the early 1960s, he achieved a clinical milestone by successfully treating three diagnosed cases of Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) with a Rasa formulation named Vallipani, developed by his Guru. However, the formulation couldn’t be replicated due to the absence of standardized SOPs at the time.
In 1956, he relocated to Meerut city to stay close to his Guru. He continued practicing Ayurveda with a strong foundation in Rasa Shastra, earning recognition for his ability to treat drug-resistant typhoid and other complex illnesses.
In 1982, he developed a breakthrough formulation named Amar, based on the principles of Gandhak Jarana (Sulphur assimilation), using Mercury, Copper, and Sulphur. Amar showed remarkable efficacy in cancer care, offering hope and healing to several patients.
Another significant contribution was Navjeevan, a formulation containing Silver Bhasma and Delphinium denudatum, which brought complete remission in a 10-year-old child diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (APML) at AIIMS, New Delhi. This case drew the attention of the CCRAS (Ministry of AYUSH), which constituted a fact-finding committee. The committee acknowledged the therapeutic merit in his claims and recommended further research. Unfortunately, governmental support did not follow.
The Foundation
Vaidya Chandra Prakash Cancer Research Foundation is the research and development unit of Padaav. It is involved in various research activities in collaboration with various scientific institutes apart from being the documentation and publication desk of Padaav.
VCP Cancer Research Foundation (VCPCRF) was set up in 1988 by Padmashri Vaidya Balendu Prakash in the memory of his father, Late Vaidya Chandra Prakash ji. The aim of the organisation is to carry in-depth research in Ayurveda with more emphasis on Ras Shastra. Its mission is to validate the efficacy of Ayurvedic protocols for treating malignancies, chronic inflammatory, immunological, and metabolic disorders. VCPCRF is committed to scientifically back the efficacy of Ayurvedic products and protocols and has been involved in conducting research works on various subjects.
